Taking Baby Steps to New Adventures
an open letter from snow to his humans
To my humans, thank you so much for being so thoughtful by organizing my first ever road trip and beach experience to cheer me up from the loss of my constant playmate, Tirso. I loved being with all of you during this trip.
You guys come and go at home and it’s nice being all together in one place without having to rush elsewhere. But but but did it have to involve sand and rocks??? And what is up with that salty water??? That does not taste good at all.
I don’t like sand. It’s coarse and irritating and did you notice that it made me look like SANDa Claus?
And what makes this type of water so special? It tastes funny and it made my tummy queasy. How come you get angry at me for drinking toilet water but you drag me into the sea? You humans are crazy for loving the sand and the sea so much.
What I did love though was staying in the same bedroom as you guys. It gave me a chance to be nose to nose with mommy and smell everyone else’s feet! Oh, and bath time with daddy in the shower was so much fun! Can we do that at home everyday?
I also liked the people at Acuaverde Resort. I guess I’m more special than you guys because I get a bag with treats and toys and you get nothing. And what's that nice smell in the air? And those green stuff blowing in the wind? What a nice change from all the gray stuff I see back home.
The pictures may seem otherwise, but I appreciate the effort you all went through to make this happen. But let’s not do it again anytime soon, ok? Remember that I’m a city dog plus an introvert. Drastic change give me the heebie jeebies.
